61.44 kWh High-Voltage LFP Battery With Outdoor Cabinet, Air-Con & Fire Protection (IP55)

The Deye GE-F60 is a 61.44 kWh commercial-grade lithium (LiFePO₄) battery cabinet designed for farms, businesses and small commercial sites. It’s a floor-mounted, outdoor-rated (IP55) steel cabinet with built-in air-conditioning, advanced fire detection and aerosol fire suppression, and can be scaled up to multi-hundred-kWh systems.

BSC Renewables can use the GE-F60 as the battery “engine room” for your site, matched with Deye inverters and solar, so it works smoothly with your loads and tariffs.

What is the GE-F60?

The GE-F60 (AU) is a ready-built battery room in a cabinet:

  • Inside are 12 lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery modules, each 5.12 kWh.

  • Together, they give 61.44 kWh total storage, with about 55 kWh usable energy in typical settings.

  • The cabinet is IP55, floor-mounted and designed for outdoor or plant-room use.

  • It includes smart controls, monitoring, and safety systems – not just “bare batteries”.

Think of it as a big, industrial battery in a single white cabinet, ready to connect into a Deye hybrid system.

Who is this cabinet best suited to?

As per Deye’s small-scale commercial & industrial ESS brochure, the GE-F60 suits:

  • Farms and rural properties with pumps, sheds, cool rooms or workshops

  • Shops, cafés, gyms and small factories that run big fridges, HVAC or machinery

  • Multi-tenant or community buildings with common-area loads

  • Sites wanting serious backup power and bill savings, not just a tiny “home battery”

If your site can easily chew through 30–80 kWh a day, this is the kind of cabinet that starts to make sense.

Why businesses and farms like the GE-F60

1. Big, usable energy – in one cabinet

This model offers:

  • Total battery energy: 61.44 kWh

  • Usable energy (typical config): about 55.29 kWh

  • Battery chemistry: LiFePO₄ (LFP), 12 modules × 5.12 kWh

What that means in plain language:

    • Plenty of storage to run night-time loads, cover bad-weather days or provide backup

    • Enough capacity to make a real dent in bills for busy sites

    • LFP chemistry is stable and long-life, designed for daily charge and discharge

2. Built-in cooling and serious fire safety

Several safety features make this model unique:

  • Built-in air-conditioning to keep the battery temperature under control (rated power operation with battery < 40 °C).

  • Combustible gas, smoke and temperature detection, plus active exhaust and fire alarm.

  • Aerosol fire extinguishing system inside the pack – if a fire is detected, the aerosol system is triggered to put it out.

In simple terms:

  • The cabinet looks after its own temperature.

  • It’s constantly sniffing for gas, smoke and high heat.

  • If something goes wrong, it can raise an alarm, exhaust gases and trigger fire suppression automatically.

This is a big step up from a basic battery bank with a few fuses.

3. Designed for harsh, real-world sites

Deye GE-F60 offers:

  • Enclosure rating: IP55

  • Operating temperature: –30 to 60 °C (with derating above 45 °C)

  • Humidity: 5–85% RH

  • Altitude: up to 2000 m

  • Mounting: floor-mounted

What you get:

  • A cabinet that’s comfortable outdoors or in a plant area, when installed correctly

  • Designed to cope with dust, rain and heat, within spec

A solid, heavy unit (~1070 kg) that’s meant to stay put and work for the long haul

4. Long life and bank-grade reliability

This model features:

  • Cycle life: ≥ 6000 cycles (at 25 °C, 0.5C/0.5C, 70% end-of-life capacity)

  • Recommended depth of discharge: 90–100% depending on test condition

  • Warranty: 10 years

What this means for you:

  • The system is built for daily cycling over many years, not occasional use

  • After thousands of cycles, it’s still expected to have around 70% of its original capacity

The 10-year warranty backs up that it’s meant to be a long-term asset

5. Smart, expandable and “future-proof” friendly

If you are looking to grow, some key standout points include:

  • EMS, hybrid inverter and BMS all integrate, with power supply redundancy

  • Supports black start and off-grid operation

  • Uses CAN 2.0 and RS485 for communication

  • Can be expanded:

    • Up to 6 GE-F60 cabinets on the DC side, reaching about 360 kWh

    • Up to 10 groups in parallel on the AC side, with a full system expansion path up to around 3.6 MWh off-grid in large projects

For you, as a BSC Renewables client, that means:

  • The GE-F60 can start small-commercial scale and still have room to grow if your site expands

  • It can support on-grid, hybrid and off-grid designs (depending on how the whole system is set up)

  • Everything is designed to talk nicely to Deye inverters and the Deye cloud platform for monitoring and control

How BSC Renewables can help with a GE-F60 project

For a GE-F60 style system, BSC Renewables will typically:

  1. Assess your site and goals

    • Look at load profiles, bills and operating hours

    • Work out whether you’re targeting bill savings, backup, demand management, or a mix

    • Decide if one GE-F60 cabinet is enough, or whether you should plan for multiple in the future

  2. Design the full system

    • Pair the GE-F60 with the right Deye hybrid inverter(s) and solar capacity

    • Make sure switchboard, protection and cabling all follow Deye’s AU docs and local standards

    • Decide on on-grid, hybrid or off-grid modes, and any backup/UPS requirements

  3. Install and commission properly

    • Place and secure the cabinet in a suitable outdoor/plant area

    • Connect to the inverter(s) and set up EMS/BMS/inverter communication

    • Test charging, discharging and (if required) backup operation under load

  4. Set up monitoring and support

    • Connect the system to the Deye cloud platform so you can see what it’s doing

    • Fine-tune operation to match tariffs and usage

    • Be on hand for future expansion, extra cabinets or inverter upgrades as your needs grow
